MEET OUR TEAM

Projects are quintessentially team efforts. This is why, typically, all of us are involved in their implementation. Naturally, each team member specializes in certain tasks and has personal preferences as to what type of work they enjoy most.

We have known and worked with each other for many years, and we greatly appreciate the bond we have developed over that time. It gives us an invaluable sense of common purpose and trust – we know we can rely on one another in every situation.

Paulina Bilska-Marek, PhD

Chairman,
Project Developer and Manager, Trainer

Paulina holds a PhD in political science. She studied in Poland and the Czech Republic, completing a University of Cambridge-funded scholarship along the way.

She has been involved in the third sector for a decade. During that time, she successfully applied for and implemented dozens of projects, including VET mobilities, youth exchanges, training courses and civic education initiatives. She also coordinated several projects for the University of Wrocław.

Her experience covers all stages and aspects of project work, making her a formidable manager. In MODE, her primary focus is the development of project concepts and applications, as well as the formal aspect of our operations.

Paulina’s hallmark is a perfectly-balanced blend of a no-nonsense attitude and amiability. As a mother of twins, she is also a true master of organisation skills and multi-tasking – traits that only enhance her already impressive profile as a leader

Mariusz Librowski

Project developer and manager, language trainer

Over the last 10 years, Mariusz has gone through nearly all possible roles in an NGO: supporting project participants, running training courses, writing project applications, reporting, contacting partners and managing the work of the entire organisation as a board member.

He is our specialist for organising vocational internships. His involvement covers both logistical aspects and cooperation with companies.
As a testament to his versatility, Mariusz is also a CELTA-certified English language teacher. When planning and running projects, he aims to maximise the benefits to the participants and partner organisations alike. Satisfaction of all stakeholders is his utmost priority.

Mariusz combines professionalism and sociability in a truly unique manner. Engaged in endless business phone calls and email exchanges, he literally works around the clock if necessary. In rare moments of free time, he changes the MODE team for one in the virtual world, where he fights epic space battles.

Paweł Burzała

Project developer, language trainer

Paweł is a teacher by calling. He continuously seeks new methods to assist learners. His professional experience includes a variety of teaching roles, from a post at a language school to a university lecturer. Over the last 5 years, he has worked with over a hundred groups of VET project participants. A CELTA-certified trainer and a highly-regarded interpreter, he provides MODE with comprehensive English language expertise.

His approach to teaching comes partly as a result of his personal experiences: Paweł earned his MA at the Aberystwyth University (Wales). Over the course of his stay in the UK, he learned first-hand about the challenges of living, studying and working in a foreign-language environment – an insight he now shares with those who face a similar prospect.

Always composed and wholeheartedly involved in whatever he does. Outside work, Paweł is a guitar aficionado and an avid hiker. He also enjoys playing football and table tennis.
